What is TRIAD?

TRIAD is a free balance logic puzzle for Android, played on a jeweler's setting tray. Every row and every column must hold exactly two rubies, two emeralds and two sapphires — no more, no fewer. It's the three-color cousin of Takuzu and Binairo, where a binary grid balances two symbols per line; TRIAD balances three.

One short rule, deep deduction. If you like Sudoku, Nonograms or Queens-style constraint puzzles, TRIAD gives you a single elegant constraint and asks you to reason it all the way out. Every gem can be proven before you place it — the game never requires a guess.

How to play

Each board is a setting tray with some gems already fixed by the master jeweler.
Every row and every column must end up holding exactly two of each cut — two rubies, two emeralds, two sapphires.
The same gem can never fill a 2×2 square.
Some neighbouring settings are linked: a dot means the two gems match, a cross means they differ.
Tap an empty setting to place a gem, and tap again to cycle ruby → emerald → sapphire. The board flags only the one gem breaking a rule, so you always know where to look.

FAQ

What kind of puzzle is TRIAD?: It's a balance (or "two of each") constraint puzzle: every line of the grid must contain the same count of each symbol. Takuzu and Binairo do this with two symbols on a binary grid — TRIAD does it with three gems, and adds 2×2 and linked-neighbour rules to keep every board uniquely solvable.
Does TRIAD ever require guessing?: No. Every puzzle is generated with exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone. There is always a gem you can prove next.
How do the ranks unlock?: By skill — the levels you clear. Progression is never sold, and every rank plus every Daily Gem is free.
Is TRIAD free?: Yes. TRIAD is free to download and play on Android. Optional one-time purchases include removing ads, hint packs, and cosmetic jewel palettes — there is no subscription.
Do I need an internet connection?: No. Every puzzle plays fully offline. You only need a connection to download the app.
