What is FLIPSIDE?
FLIPSIDE is a free mental rotation and spatial reasoning game for Android. Every level shows you a grid of colors and a list of transformation rules — mirror horizontally, rotate 90°, invert colors, shift, transpose. Your job is to visualize what the grid becomes after the rules are applied, paint your prediction, then flip the grid to find out if you saw it right.
Mental rotation is one of the most studied skills in spatial visualization training — the same ability tested in aptitude and IQ assessments. FLIPSIDE turns it into a game: early levels apply a single rule to a 3×3 grid; late levels chain multiple transformations across 6×6 grids with eight colors.
